My sister adopted a barn kitten. When she got him in the house, he detected and killed a mouse within a half hour of his arrival.
They’re hardwired to kill. Glad they’re small or they might scare me!
I think my two spoiled rotten, indoor-only kittehs would hide from a live mouse, but, BOY, are they fierce spider killerz! ;o)
The winter is so long around here, while the kitties are outside, the mice chase our cats down in order to be carried inside for the warmth. Then while playing with their “food”, the mouse scrambles off.
