This teacher, Francisco Portelos, blew the whistle on his principal over 2 years ago for misappropriating funds meant for educating children but wound up in her pocket. Since then the NYCDOE has waged war on him, while nothing has happened to his principal.

He wrote a satirical, tongue in cheek blog post on how to hack the NYCDOE payroll system http://protectportelos.org/how-to-hack-the-doe-payroll-portal-and-give-yourself-a-raise/ and was thrown in jail for 33 hours.

Mind you I am not protecting public school teachers, but this case seems egregious.
