Had one of these buggers attack my stringer of fish trailing my kayak up in the BWCA one year. We had a dispute over the ownership of the fish and it kept snorting and thumping my craft. Could’ve touched it if I was fool enough. I figured it would get in the kayak for sure since it is only about 6” above the water. I was fumbling for a firearm when the beggar finally threw in the towel and swam away. I was pretty sure I was going to end up in the drink with jaws. They’re pretty good sized close up.
They usually just mount other otters.
Luckily he escaped with only a bite to the finger.
Otters are similar to beavers and a beaver killed a Russian man last year.

I have heard of people getting bitten by big brown beavers.

Never saw that before, it’s good to be aware of your surroundings.
Leslie Nielsen respected beavers and as far as I know was never bitten by one.
The rampaging otter’s mate was just outside the bar. She was his significant otter.

I’m sorry but the weirdest part of the whole story to me is, Norway, restaurant named “Skippys Fast Food” owned by “Mohamed Rashed”, compared to that the otter thing seems normal.
