A little more info on the CA 6.9

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) is reporting thst this is a strike-slip on the Gorda fault NOT in the Jaun DeFuca subduction zone. The 6.9 was at a depth of 7 km (but upon review USGS may revise). The immediate after after shocks were deeper (and in the 3.0-4.0 range) yet a much bigger 4.6 AS is listed as much, much shallower at 2.6 km

NO Tsumani warning issued. Those who “felt it” (usgs comment page) said it “rolled” not a quick jerking motion.

This active area is very near the Mendicino Triple Junction.
