I suspect Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Extremely rugged. Very remote. Days out as opposed to debris that should have been detected by now in their coastal waters.
This latest piece of information has me fascinated to the point I’m trying to remember where I put my tin foil hat.
If I recall correctly, this contact with the plane was 10-20+ minutes after the last contact it had with the tower.
Obviously suggesting the plane was not instantaneously destroyed by some cataclysmic event. And also suggesting the pilots had ample time to send any distress signals.
