Presidents with foreign born parents:
Herbert Hoover’s mother was born in Canada.
Woodrow Wilson’s mother born in England.
Chester Arthur’s father was born in Ireland.
James Buchanan’s father was born in Ireland.
Thomas Jefferson’s mother was born in England.
Andrew Jackson parents were both born in Ireland.
Barack Obama’s father was born in Kenya.
Natural also mean only one out come is possible. Not so with Obamas citizenship.
A boy is good at math. His parents say, “naturally, he’s going to Georgia Tech to be an engineer.”.
Only one one out come. NO Decisions to be made, Naturally.
So when Washington got the letter from John Jay, they expressed that a presidents citizenship had to be without question, American. Naturally.
Obama has questions to his citizenship, Naturally. Because he’s a dual citizen at birth. Decisions, decisions.
Well.........I'm not a "birther" (don't care where he was born) so I can respond to this tripe with ease.
Let's assume we have a president who is the son of an American woman and a man who comes from (and still is a citizen of) "Outer Democratica"....(a God forsaken place).
Let's call him (the president).... "Karab". Karab's father has many brother's and sister living in Outer Democratica and they have a number of children as well. As Karab gets older he visits and is visited by these relatives frequently and grows to love them as an extended family. In fact....after his parents are divorced, Karab's father (being a citizen of this God forsaken place) decides to move back home.
Well.....to make a long story short....Karab goes into politics and makes his way to important posts in the party and eventually gets elected to Senator from a very corrupt state. From here he eventually runs for and wins the presidency...using many criminal tactics and dirty money to gain the office.
In the meantime.....international relations with Outer Democratica have worsened and we find ourselves on the brink of a shooting war. The fault lies entirely with the degenerates who compose most of the ruling population of Outer Democratica.....who are composed of (strangely enough) some of Karab's own relatives....including now.... his own father.
The question becomes..........will Karab.....in his limited capacity for sound reasoning.....consider only the position of his fellow citizens when dealing with this rabble or will his kinship with this evilness influence his decisions.
That's why the framers of our Constitution said.....only "Natural Born Citizens" can aspire to the presidency after the original "Citizens" that formed the nation all died off. At the time "Natural Born" meant...."Born of the soil and born of the blood":.....and everyone understood that. Most intelligent folks still do!
Not in the US and not in the big international syndicates like AP or Reuters, maybe, but surely he can find someone somewhere else in the world who is willing to listen?
Has he tried Putin?
So what?
They were all citizens (Naturalized) when their offspring ran for office!
Sheeeeesh!
The argument has been advanced here (and elsewhere) that a president must be born with two natural born citizen parents in order to avoid the split allegiance theory.
Sheeeeesh!
Correction! Hoover's mother and Wilson's mother had become naturalized. Arthur lied about his father's citizenship and Buchanan's parents were residents of Pennsylvania when the Constitution was ratified....so they became citizens at that point.
Thomas Jefferson was one of the folks who became citizens when the Constitution was ratified and was allowed to run under the grandfathered clause in [Article II; Section I]. Same situation with Jackson.
Mitt Romney's dad was a citizen by birth because his parents, although living in Mexico..... had never given up their U.S. citizenship.
Barack Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen and is a complete fraud!
I simply cannot understand how folks can get confused by this.
The only requirement to be "Natural Born" is the candidate....not the parents. The parents may be Naturalized Citizens or they may be just Citizens themselves....born of the soil to non citizen parents! The only requirement is for the office seeker to be both born of the soil and born of the blood.
Presidents with foreign born parents:
still trying straw man arguments mixing apples and oranges..tell me again Barry Obama’s visa records are available from foia because his fathers (supposed) records were...lol
Don’t bring that straw man near an open flame.
Avoiding my question, naturally.
Building straw men, naturally.
Obama is a natural born communist. I’ll give you that. Are you happy now?
Hey Jameeeeee, you still getting paid? Of course you are.
That is not true. If others have said it, it was with the intent to confuse.
What they have said is that the parents must be citizens at the time of the future president's birth. That is not the same thing as saying that the parents themselves must be natural born.
Immigrants can come to the United States, then become citizens, then have children, and those children can become president. Children that preceeded their parents becoming citizens would not be eligible.

It is not the fact that their parents were born elsewhere, it is about whether they became American citizens before their child was born.

I think Obama is a natural born liar.
He might be a natural born homosexual. Picking Mooch for a wife sets off the gaydar. WTF was he thinking?
A beard.
Yeah, soon to be a Natural Born cull.
I’m a natural born Lover of women. I never had the “dual” thing going, like our president.
I was always a one team guy. Never a choice.
The presidents poem about pops and his shorts kinda freaks me out. Its just not natural.
Oh man, lol. You got me laughing.
Mooch probably kicked some ass in her day.
For Obamas sake, It’s a good thing the constitution didn’t require a natural born heterosexual. Obama would never have been elected.
I have a friend who was a natural born athlete.
Never any doubt. It was like he was gifted.
Like natural, not a spastic bone in his body.
Not a hint of nerd in the guy. The real deal.
I've been fair and reasonable in my presentation, how about you?
