I remember this show when I was a kid, would watch it as frequently as I could. One of the things I remember was the Vic Morrow character always saying to Kirby, “Kirby, take the point.” Always felt a little sorry for Kirby!

Kirby was a screw up, a slacker, early in the show but redeemed himself.

I remember Vic Morrow was the only one on TV who knew to fire the Thompson in bursts of 3 or 4 and not rattle off a whole clip each time.....
