You know... I can understand DRAWING your weapon, if you think someone might be armed.
But unless they are pointing it at you, I don’t understand why she felt she had to fire her weapon. I think pointing your weapon at the target and issuing instructions would be more than enough.

According to the original report, she fired IMMEDIATELY upon the door opening. She must have already had her weapon drawn with her finger ON the trigger and with an intention to shoot whoever opened the door. She did not have time to process that he had something in his hand.
