Gay persecution stories are unique in that this entire story amounts to hearsay. There are no quotes from victims or the court, and we’re relying on the word of this gay right’s advocate.
I’ve seen stories about “gay man burned in Uganda” (Google it) which turn out to have been a man burned in a slum of Nairobi Kenya for reasons that had nothing to do with being gay, yet the MSM ran with it.
I’m infuriated by anyone being tortured or killed out of hate, but I would personally really like to see these stories (whether they’re gay, Christian, or whatever) more thoroughly vetted with an emphasis on documented sources and less hearsay. The media really seems to require an irresponsible level of verification before reporting this stuff.
