I cannot believe people are so ignorant about protecting their computers and their personal information.

I have Norton Anti-Virus (since 1995) .. and I’ve never had a virus or malware ..... EVER. $40 annually is a great deal.

Secondly, I also have LifeLock to protect my personal info and my bank account. This costs me only $25/mo - and saves me from people trying to attack my stuff - which has already happened to me .. a company who I purchased an item from .. continued sending me stuff I didn’t order - and when I inquired - they threatened. However, when I threatened to sick my attorney on them for bank fraud, they sent me FREE return mailers and refunded the $320 they had fraudulently taken from my bank account. This resulted in my bank changing all my accounts and issuing me new cards. The reason the bank was so willing .. there was a phoney request for $5.82 from a company my bank had never seen on my account before. My bank and I agreed .. the request was probably somebody from the company who refunded me the $320, making a quick attempt to get their money back - and take everything from the rest of my account too.

That’s when I added the bank account surveillance from LifeLock .. have not had any more issues.

People need to be pro-active and get protected from people who want to take our money and our information.

That’s great to know about protecting everything on your personal internet, but some of us are below the poverty level and have to take the knocks when they come.

Solution? Check your accounts every day and dispute EVERY transaction you don’t recognize.

I caught a scammer from Europe once, being diligent about my account. The bank refunded my money as soon as I signed the affidavit and issued me a new card. It was only $50, but it meant a weeks’ worth of food and gas. :o])
