Lately I find The Blaze website extremely frustrating to visit. Almost every time I go to the site it locks up my browser (FireFox)at home and at work on IE. Am I the only one? I have no problems on any other websites. The only way I get out of it is to cancel out in task manager. My guess is it has something to do with the annoying pop-ups or possibly some of the ads the Blaze uses.
I like Breitbart, but the freaking pop-ups (yes, I have my popup blocker on) are very annoying. I’ve given them a *tip* about that, to no avail.
I use the app on my Ipad and avoid all of these issues. If you have any apple products the app makes it easy.
I use windows but when I turn up the security of ActiveX in Internet options the auto-run video does not play unless I specifically click Turn off tracking protection. So then no video automatically plays. Now I stumbled on this and don’t really know why this works but it saves load up time on each new page...
We should find out who is responsible for conduit and torture them. Same goes for Yontoo.
Thanks for the link!
Installed and tested.
Awesome ad blocker!
Now, I can browse without being assaulted by a bunch of “jiggle-butt” ads every time I go to search a certain torrent website (which I shall not name)...
Cheers!
There a saying “Keep It Simple Stupid”. Some websites have too many bells and whistles. Just look at this site. All the content without the glitz. Jim was ahead of his time.
Add my voice to the chorus. Autorun vids totally irritate me, especially when they turn the sound back on after you’ve turned it off. I avoid the site for that reason.
You’re welcome.
Tonight The Blaze website got formatted wrong with Firefox and Firefox based browsers like Quipzilla. I can only see and make comments on Opera and Chrome. And the Hompage works right on those Browsers.
I just disabled Ad Block Plus on The Blaze in Firefox and it is working right now. Not sure about Quipzilla as it had no blocker.
Another thing you can do (and I didn’t have time to scroll through all of the replies) is to download The Blaze App. In the app there is a news section that goes right to the news stories without all of the annoying ads. The only downfall is that you won’t be able to read the “comments” section which is half the fun.
