I just finished unwrapping the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe I got from the Catholic store-I bought one for indoors. It is 18 inches tall, very nicely painted, and now all I have to do is set up a place to put it with some candles and an incense burner for joss sticks...
Nice. I did a short presentation on that for our RCIA members just before Advent. She is the only Mary depicted as pregnant. The research was interesting.
i have st francis in the one flower bed, and i have [as the local AM dj refers to it] our Lady On the Halfshell, in the back bed. It sounds irreverant but it does conjure up exactly what i am referring to.
