“With just a little over month to go before Microsoft officially pulls the plug on Windows XP, there is a lot at stake for those who dont migrate away from the 14-year old operating system.”
Operate two 8.1s, one 7.0, and two XPs. Have not found ONE feature that causes me even the slightest desire to get rid of the XPs.
I had to upgrade to 8.1 after my XP desktip died hard after many years of daily service.
Opened the case and the heat sink on the cpu was almost as big as a power supply itself.
For about $350 bought an ASUS T100 small tablet/laptop w/Windows 8.1 plugged in a monitor and keyboard in a docking arrangement and am impressed with the little bugger. Now I am mobile and can work from a McDonald’s but also can work on the desktop.
MS XP works. Apparently a big mistake for Microsoft.
It doesn’t crash. It doesn’t need support.
XP works.
