And that is probably the basis of purdah.
And why Glen thanked God that he had Maggie.

I was happy to see him hopefully and finally shed his destructive attitude. I just wish the show writers would not have written in so many stupid acts, such as burning down the house at night, or wasting all that moonshine. :-)

Moonshine [..shudder..] After an experience with the good stuff, straight from the hills of Carolina, I will never touch it again, ever...and I mean it. :)

...iand yet no one notices there is a cute blonde girl walking around.
I can't blame the women for not being in "The Mood" for a bit of physical love but the men, Healthy, masculine men?
Women (I assume)it's all about feeling clean, secure and the ever present possibility of getting pregnant in the post Apocalyptic world(the dangers of Lorie's pregnancy clearly showed)
But the men? Hah! Don't care how much zombie goo they stomped, stabbed (or in Daryl's case)back swinged through, after a couple of drinks alone with a pretty(and evidently needy) girl like Emily, it's "EverReady time"
Which brings me to another topic, be ready Daryl to confess to another secret(Hint: "Closet", "Coming Out")

you burn down your shelter in the middle of the night?
Yeah, that was totally stupid move but understandable(two impulsive, young people, drinking, anyone?)
But I see this as an "device" for the writers. This will be used as an signal for others of the prison group survivors to see and rally to. IMHO

"BTW, after all that time is the woods does anyone think they look too clean?"
Daryl had his usual, greasy look but Beth, at the end, was definitely smeared with dirt, blood, Zombie goo(her arms especially)
I also noticed after Daryl's zombie backswing, Beth took off her then splattered white cartigan yet her shirt underneath had MORE blood, Z Goo than the outside sweater...
Hmmmmmm. How'd that happen?/sarc.

"Another filler episode and largely a waste. The ending was ridiculous. After you spend the day fighting Zs, running for your life, and spending the night in a trunk you burn down your shelter in the middle of the night? How many freaking Zs will that attract, while they run around in the dark with no where to go." I enjoyed the episode.
Daryl and Beth were drunk, and they've reached the point that they feel they don't have anything left to live for. They're at the end of their rope. So I can see how they would say the hell with it, torch the house, and head off into the woods, not really caring.

I thought the fire was to symbolize putting their past behind them and starting over. Getting drunk and doing something glaring stupid is smart in a Z apocalypse. If you want to do something, hook up in the shack. I thought that was where this episode was heading.

"I thought the fire was to symbolize putting their past behind them and starting over." That, too.

Well, like I said, I think they were past caring at that point. As for the two of them hooking up, I'm iffy. Daryl's a good bit older than Beth, although she is likely 18 by now. I kind of still harbor hopes for Carol and Daryl, but maybe that's not going to happen.

"BTW, after all that time is the woods does anyone think they look too clean?"It's not just Beth and Daryl. Look at Glenn and Ford and Eugene not to mention the girl in hotpants. They've supposedly been on the road trying to get to DC and they all look like they had a shower that morning.

Redus does nothing for me. He's got that Emo look down pat. And he has a bad case of "banjo kid from Deliverance" eyes, which doesn't go AT ALL with the emo hair! LOL

Oh, Abraham. Those three comic book figures haven’t made much of an impression on me.

Who is this "Glenn and Ford and Eugene"? All I remember is "Hotpants Girl" (heehee)
All kidding aside, you're right, they're too fresh and clean looking for being on the road this long...
