Well, I have found there are certain topics I don’t even bother bringing up just because people jump in and start hammering you.

Don’t know what compelled this opus, but being hammered for speaking in less than glowing terms about Sarah Palin seems like an odd thing to elicit the opus.
Read what Gen. Blather just said. This is defintely true. Some derive pleasure from inflicting pain, as would be evidenced in the postings of someone now surprised and hurt. I say live a let live. So long as you are being respectful, be yourself. You don’t have to have everyone loving you, or saying they do. Some of us are contrarians when we want to purposely rock the boat, get attention and train someone to please us. You’ll find personalites here all over the place. Some would give a waiter a hard time over being given the wrong fork, they would call the manager, use the power of their position as customer to make that waiter’s shift hellish. While others would just calmly ask for a different fork. Yet, we all keep coming back to the same restaurant. Please rethink your position. I don’t have many ties to those who have served in these “new” wars, like since what Poppy Bush started with Saddam. I want to know how you guys see us and yourselves as time passes.
