Yes, I actually think it's tamer around here than in the first years (1997-2001). There were a lot of flame wars and people left the forum in droves - in fact, that was back when the opus was an art form. Many of them snuck back under different screen names eventually.

The moderators are also much quicker to pull stuff down these days.

Having a thick skin definitely helps. In 16 years, I have yet to hit the ABUSE button on anybody.
