Yep. If you don’t worship at Palin’s boots your a loser. I’ve gone through plenty of that. Now I only post about 2nd Amendment stuff and interesting stuff. When it comes to Palin the “Dunking chair” comes out.
You are taking the coward’s way out. Stick around and have to live through another Presidential campaign with the Sarah Palinistas as they yammer about how she’s going to jump in the race any minute now. :-)
I'll stay, thank you very much. Thank you for your service.
It’s a syndrome: you’re wrong, I’m right because I served in Dupistan, so I’m packing my toys and leaving!
I like FR because more than any site, it reflects solid, old-fashioned, no-nonsense, straight-arrow, mid-american conservatism. The kind of gut-level conservatism of “common sense,” which led to America’s greatness, before the whole culture went totally dingbat insane.
Palin represents this for me as well. Moreso than any other living voice out there. She has the anti-corruption bona fides like no other in the GOP. Palin and Reagan are the only two leaders I would personally take a bullet for.
I don't remember it, if we (you and I) have ever “exchanged angry words”.I don't remember ever meeting you.
Take a break, or just never loggon again.
Most posters here learn to take periodic posting breaks.
Few hold it against anyone...and if they do, if you aren't officially zotted, shake it off and try harder to find a way to persuade people to real action.
Have a nice day tomorrow!
O.K.
I looked at the “straw that broke the camel’s back” thread.
I understand your view. I think there is good emotional and GOP populist sentiment that the RNC coulda/shoulda mentioned Palin, but at the end of the day her matching “historical figure” is the Dim’s VP choice - Ferraro - that also did not win her VP post. And, the RNC COULD have just been playing 2014 general election politics in a way they always do - ONLY making appeals to what they think is the widest audience. There is a bit of a hoot in that, in that “hispanics” are a apecific constinuency, which the RNC did not fail to appeal to. Again, I see 2014 general election politics there as well. And, that’s what outfits like the RNC does. It’s up to the rest of us to support the pitch-making for the GOPers the RNC does not lift up, for whatever reason.
I also understand that some may find such a thoughts just excuses the RNC might have used, because other facts are facts also - like the fact that Palin and the RNC are not exactly on the same page, most of the time. She has consistently backed candidates in primaries that were not the RNC favored candidate, more often than not. So, there is an intra-party history there between her and the RNC, so one can easily think they were just trying to dis her. That also is not out of the realm of possibility. I’m not saying that was the case, but its plausible.
At the end of the day, I think people are making mountains out of molehills. Most “Women’s History month” honored women annoucements by any organization have a public consciousness shelf life of ZIP anyway.
For me, at least they did mention the lady gov of S.C. In southern state like S.C. a woman gov is maybe more of an achievement than it might be elsewhere.
I am not 100% approving of the RNC on their announcement, nor am I 100% agin it. I’m on the fence. But I’m not upset about it ‘cause I don’t think its that big a deal to start with.
But, I hope you are not leaving. I think I have agreed with you more often than not, even if/when/where I only read a thread and didn’t put my 2 cents worth in.
Sorry you are leaving. I think we are infiltrated by leftist operatives that target people to run them off. All the best. Good Luck.
ping for later
Sounds like you were attacked by the RINO, GOPe and DU-mmies (those are all scared to death of Sarah) that toll here at FReepers. Don’t give up the good fight. As a matter of fact you could report them for abuse and get them Zotted by the Viking Kitties. And thank you for your service.
I think Palin is a fool but I’m still here. Not everyone here worships at the temple of Sarah.
you can’t let the people who disagree with you get you down. they aregoing to be everywhere you go, that’s how it is.
not everyone likes me or my posts but i’m still here.
After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. There seems to be a contest, that keeps getting worse, all over the Net, as to who can jump down another's throat with the quickest, snarkiest taunts and not-so-clever responses as well. In other words, thank G-d, Free Republic doesn't allow the "F" word!
I hadn’t really noticed you were here, but it would be sad if you left because of disagreement. What would be the fun if everyone agreed?
“But because I don’t think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. “
You truly have to have balls to post here, if anything you say questions dogma. Don’t worry about it. Having served the nation as you did, your balls are plenty big.
FWIW, I don’t think Palin will ever run. Wonderful person. Don’t see it happening.
... come to the dark side (and actually like Palin)>

Thanks for your service. I do hope you’ll reconsider leaving. If not, I wish you well.
St. Sarah of Wasilla....brought to you by the same brain trust that thought Sharon Angle and Christine O’Donnell were the answer. Flame on.
