Has anyone here seen the new movie Son of God? How is it.
“Why didnt they entitle the movie THE SON OF GOD?”
If they named it that, all roads wouldn’t lead to heaven.
You have that right!
“If they named it that, all roads wouldnt lead to heaven.”
I forgot to add the /s after that.
Exactly!
Did you send that article to your pastor?
I’m opposed to it just because I like to draw attention to myself.
I meant to send this question to you not Meshuge Mickey.
Did you send that article about knowing the Master’s voice to your pastor?
It may.. come up in conversation on Sunday!
Im hoping we get a wide range of reviews..of both the movie and the movie as “event” as the weekend progresses!
Any Christian I know would have replied My Lord and My Savior...
Luckily for the the eunuch in Acts 8, Philip had a different standard for determining who is a Christian.
Acts 8:37 “.....and he replied, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God”
but then this is the historical Christian FAITH.
As I mentioned one would had to have heard the words and tone of the question and measured to tone , words and timing of the answer to have discerned the “offness” as it came from this particular “speaker”.
there was no comfortable MESH !
Well, Christ. Is the Son of God. he is also referred to in the Bible as Lord, and also as the Savior for our sins. Responding to the other poster, I said that Catholics do not usually talk in terms of being saved. Saved by faith alone is not a Catholic teaching.
It’s a sad commentry to see Christians pack the pews in a movie theatre, but not in a church.
Wow, why so many?
Acts 8:37 .....and he replied, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God
hmmm, I wonder if Philip considered the “tone” of the eunuch?
indeed.
Someone recently shared the fact that a HUGE percentage of Americans claim to pray..even atheists.
Nope Im not kidding. I wish I was!
were the reported number of :christians” actually based on thier positions..I sense it would be far lower than the alleged...what was it...70 percent of the population.
“if Philip considered the tone
The only “tone” I hear is “In my heart there rings a melody of love.”
Saved by faith alone is not a Catholic teaching.
it’s not a Biblical teaching and was unknown for the first 1,500 years in Church history.
context is everything
it was within the context of an interview that this answer was given
there was a rather pregnant pause between question and answer as though the party doing the answering had to search for the correct answer.
If Im able to find an audio recording of the interview Online, I shall post a link to same here.
“Its not a Biblical teaching and was unknown for the first 1,500 years in Church history.”
Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
No. I think that my Hubby did...or Hubby got it from him. lol
