"This episode introduces us to Daniel Loomis, Mr. Daniel Loomis. The Story begins with Mr. Loomis walking off with everything his wifes blind grandmother owned. And from there, we learn to really hate the guy as we learn that he stole the money for his own mothers funeral and has another wife......This episode was noted for marking a falling out between Jack Webb and Burt Prelutsky,"

I thought these shows were more closely based on real crimes. For the record, bowling is more intresting than butterflies.

I watch the 69 series on ME TV at 3 P.M. weekdays. It is pretty entertaining tho Sgt. Friday’s lecturing people is a bit funny.
His partner would drive me crazy.

Yeahs the plots were really nothing like the actual cases from the files. If you ever catch the original series from the fifties you might agree with me in saying the older show was really a better series.

I have some of those 50s episodes and the episodes are good.

I love ME-TV and through that channel learned to like Adam 12 and Hawaii 5-0. I always liked dragnet.

A lot more “film noir” feel, Friday actually fires his weapon, dates girls etc. None of the goofy moralizing, not that Joe was off base on that but just total squaresville.

When you watch the show daily it is easier to tell they have the same actors over and over.
There is one old lady, probably around 60 who is nearly every episode, of course playing different roles. Probably an old friend of Jack Webb.

"His partner would drive me crazy"....I don't know about that, Officer Gannon had a pretty good BBQ sauce recipe, anything that has a quart of vanilla ice cream in it, must be good......ha
