Putin unlike the Brits declaring over a mere “scrape of paper” in August 1914 when Germany violated Belgian neutrality and the Treaty of London knows Obama will stomp and pout and do nada.

Now all we need is an assasinated Archduke and it’s party time.

Obama would ignore this treaty.... I think he would only intervene if it benefited him somehow.

I, uh, really don’t think we need to worry about Obama obeying any stupid old treaty.

Like every other law he doesn’t like, Obama will choose not to enforce it.

The US and Great Britain are not going to die for Crimea.

And NATO is not going start a world war over it.

Not really a treaty.

Get the Sink Emperor back in here to explain that — it all depends on what the meaning of “memorandum” is.

Obozo kind’ makes it up as he goes along. If he decides to say “Treaty? What treaty”? then that’s that.

The treaty was an exchange of nukes for guarantees. I hope crafty Ukrainians stashed away a few - they could be very handy in today’s situation. Who would miss Moscow, for example?

I thought the United Nations was supposed to take care of this sort of thing.

Was this an actual legally-binding treaty passed by 2/3rds of the Senate, or was it merely an executive agreement signed by the President. If the latter, it is not truly legally binding on the US.

It's not a "Treaty" unless the US Senate, by 2/3 majority, says it's a Treaty.

I did a short web search and found no evidence it was even presented to the US Senate.

This is likely one of those rogue POTUS deals, signed by POTUS but never saw the light of day thereafter.

This is all nonsense. Obama will do nothing but talk. Does anyone think Putin is doing anything but laughing at this boob? Putin has named his toilet Barack so he can piss on it each morning. And the EU? Please. They will do what exactly? The UN? ‘nuff said. Putin will take the Crimea and no one will do anything about it. Besides, anyone see the Ukes stepping up to defend themselves? Me neither. Besides, Bambi has golf and gay rights and the minimum wage and the Tonight show to worry about anyway.

It’s not our fight. The tire burning, Jewish hating thugs can play the hand they dealt. We have no business getting involved.
