I have an idea! Can you make a donation to the local troops, with the note--"Please do not send this to the national office, but use it to help our local girls"? Need an organized way to do this.

You could make such a request, but no guarantee that your wishes would be followed; plus all money is fungible so if a local troop receives lots of direct donations, the national office could just reduce its contribution by an equivalent amount and use the money for the Chief Girl Experience Officer.

Won’t work. I know enough about how their organization works to know that no matter what they might tell you, that money will be allocated as the national organization dictates. Your local office is nothing more than a branch office that obeys HQ.

Give your money to a local Boys and Girls club, 4H group, or another charity that you’ve vetted. That’s what I do.
