As someone else has noticed, the final situation is a lot like the Trayvon Martin / George Zimmerman confrontation.
Yes, that’s what I was thinking too.
Oh, and btw, don’t know what evidence was presented, but I’d want more than the wife’s assertion that her husband wasn’t drunk.
They really needed to just brink the passed out cousin back to their hotel with them and let him sleep it off.
I know that would have spoiled the evening, but it would have been better than what ended up happening. A lot better.
Very much like the Zimmerman case and fully justifiable.
Actually, no.
The uncounted hordes of militarized American police are being specifically trained these days to "confront" the peasantry no matter where the peasants are or what they are doing.
The paramilitaries are also trained to "not let it go", because dozens of their brethren will show up like a pack of coon dogs to swarm over a scene of peasant resistance.
The FEO initiated the "confrontation". Zimmerman didn't initiate the confrontation with Saint Trayvon of the Holy Skittles.
Bad analogy. The Founding Fathers would be aghast at the swarms of Tacticool-clad gunthugs eating out the substance of the peasantry, and "confronting" them at every turn.
