I would describe allowing yourself to be overpowered by an unarmed drunk man as being incompetent. I’m just talking about how police are supposed to be able to handle themselves.

“The Brunos had imbibed as well, but neither was drunk, Stephanie later told police.”

Stephanie is the wife of the “drunk.”

No mention of blood alcohol levels.

I consider most of what you post on this forum to be incompetent —

Why do you allow yourself to do it???

I agree with you. The police can't have it both ways, saying that they are the professionals and let them handle it, then acting like a thug and using the police card as a shield. I have see men and women talk a drunk down, without a bit of police training... and a trained police officer cannot? Who needs them then, they just seem to make things worse.

The cop should have had backup and never got in close without it. A ranged taser would have been his second choice (after backup)

The cop put himself and bystanders in danger by not having control of the situation.

The drunk could've got the cop's gun and shot a bystander.

The cop should be fired.
