“I just believe that my brother is a hero,” Floyd said. “He is an absolute hero.”

What? He called the cops and then ran into a store. That’s not heroic.

Ten years ago, I had a violent, paroled convict slam into my car because (I guess) I passed his stationary car on a city street on my way to work. The guy had been paroled from a Colorado prison where he'd been in for six years for violent assaults. I later found out he had been off his medication which was supposed to control his violent temper. His family in S. Dakota lost track of him.

He stole a car in Colorado and drove 600 miles to my part of the country. After ramming my car four or five times, he rammed another car, crashed his first stolen car into a fire hydrant, stole another car, and ended up getting himself shot to death by several sheriff's deputies after crashing/rolling his second stolen car in a corn field following a high speed chase.

He emerged from his crashed car bloody and waving a knife. The deputies asked him to put the knife down about thirty times which was recorded on one of the sheriff's radios. After refusing to drop the knife he lunged at the deputies who then filled him with enough lead for ten people. Remember folks, there's some nutty people driving around out there.

“There are conflicting news reports about whether police used force.”

Who gives a R!$!@#?

“of careless and reckless driving.”

Understatement of the year.

Forget the gun. I would turn MY OWN car on the assailant. Turn the tables, man.

And BTW, he is no real hero.

“...police are trying to determine if Gagnon was under the influence of any substances...”

Uh... five’ll get you fifty, and a well placed wager here could set you up in significant cash.

Carolyn Floyd, Jost’s sister, told WJFA she doesn’t know what triggered the attacks but that her brother acted bravely to save his daughter. “I just believe that my brother is a hero,” Floyd said. “He is an absolute hero.”

Sounds pretty pathetic, if you ask me.

Did anyone hear about the Jeff Gordon taxi prank? Apparently, there were two friends, one, a JG fan, and the other, a vocal critic. Somehow the fan got a hold of Jeff Gordon, and arranged to have him pick up his friend in a taxi. Gordon then acted like be was being pursued, and did some off-road evasive driving. The video is predictably funny, but one of these days someone is going to get hurt.
