If it happened the way the headline says then heads should roll. But the story itself reads somewhat differently. Need more info.

I saw your comment so I went to read the story. The headline is essentially correct, he was "restrained," then pinned down until he expired. Pepper spray may or may not have been used.

I’m not clear how the cops ended up there over his wife slapping a 19 yr. od daughter. Maybe they assumed the man was guilty of something or maybe the guy dared voice displeasure over the cops’ questioning tactics?
Doesn’t seem like it should be a death sentence in any event. No report of the guy attacking the cops, just being uncooperative. What more info do you need?

Agreed. I'm far from a jackboot-licker, but the headline seems inflammatory based on everything i've read, however, the guy is dead over a minor deal, so something clearly went wrong.
