Was he doing anything...anything at all, wrong?

I know quite a few downs syndrome people...and quite a few people who are disabled with colostomy bags. Those people do not go out looking for trouble. People in those conditions are almost universally very reserved.

This is another travesty.

They allowed their, what I am willing to bet were unwarranted suspicions of him to cause them to intrude on his walk home, and when he was not fast enough responding to them (and Down’s Syndrome can easily make that happen), so they beat him to the ground and ripped his colostomy bag off of him.

It’s indefensible unless they can show in any way that he was participating in any criminal/illegal behavior, or that he was a threat to anyone. But it is a pretty sure thing that he wasn’t.

They should have just left him the hell alone.

Police all over this country aren't trained to be the civil police force anymore. They are trained to be a para-military style force. The rise of gangs and the threat of terrorism moved them in that direction. I'm not a fan of people using drugs, and I work in an industry where is someone is not sharp and on the ball - they may hurt themselves or others. That being said we should decriminalize drugs and tax them. This would take the cash flow out of the gangs and cartels. Then maybe the police could focus more on classic crimes. - and loose the AR’s MP5’s armored vehicles and teams of 20 guys in military body armor serving minor warrants at 3;00 in the morning with a sledgehammer and a stun grenade. I support the police - just not the new aggressive -quick to escalate - throw people to the ground - taser the deaf guy because his sign language looks “like an aggressive gesture”. I believe that if I'm walking down a side walk and an office asks me where I'm going , and what's that bulge in my pants, I can say - “ none of your business - and btw - Have you read the constitution....” ( of course that's when I'll get tasered).

Well at least they found their lunch /sarcasm. My wife has both colostomy and urostomy pouches she wears. She is severly physically disabled but has full mental capacity. Woe unto any person who feels they have a "right or duty" except in medical emergency to even have a peekaboo. They will personally answer to me. Oh and she is scared of cops also. Her tyrant dad with a badge would beat her with his utility belt into her teens.
