My kids are almost grown and I could never afford to take them to Disney. I wonder if Walt would have let it get like this.

With Eisner's advent years ago, policies across the board were changed drastically, netting them billions. One such policy adopted was to raise the rates until 10% of the people coming to the gate refused to pay and walked away. Hasn't happened yet. Ol’ Walt is probably spinning in his cyronic container..

Growing up in south Kalifornia, we used these 'ticket books' when Disneyland first opened...."A" was a dime, and "E" was fitty cent; admission thru the gates was free, IIRC.

I grew up and still live 2 hrs from DW. Haven’t been in 30 years. IMO you haven’t missed much, all the stories about long lines at the attractions and being expensive are true. I’d rather take a cruise or see the Grand canyon etc.......... Just sayin.
