When I was in grade school every classroom had it’s own single bathroom for the kiddies. Was easier and no kids running the hall when they needed to go. Only when we got to Junior high and high did schools not have this. I seriously thought all Elementary schools had such things but only moderns ones it would seem have this. Is easier for the teacher.
Plus when I was in grade school all Kindergarten teachers had an aid to assist them. With kids that young it really is needed. Now after this I believe it should be mandatory.
Our “old” elementary school had a bathroom but it was in a cubby area outside of the classroom. They tore that ES down and built a new one. The bathrooms are down the hall from the kindergarten classes. No aides.... but the special needs classes have them. If this bathroom was in a hallway away from the classroom... I can easily see how the teacher didn’t find them right away. On a side note, in our ES.. teachers aren’t allowed to leave the classroom unless another teacher/office helper.. is called first and stands in the classroom. At no time are the classes allowed to be unsupervised even for a few minutes.
Why do I get the feeling that these two 5 year olds have seen each other naked before and it’s no big deal to their mothers though perhaps a surprise to their fathers.
It probably took place atleast once on a weekday afternoon during the summer while the fathers were at work with boys and girls their same age in a wading pool innocently splashing around without their swimming suits on in someone’s back yard as their progressive school teaching church-going yuppie mothers who have embraced the newest in vogue parenting techniques giggle at their kids and munch salad nearby.
I’d bet on it.
