Walmart has been trying to sell US made goods for years. I remember when they had Made in US signs on tables of American made goods.

One of the big problems is that we don't make many things any longer.

We still make many products here in the U.S., but those products

1. are generally not the low-value, low-quality junk sold in stores like WalMart

2. don't require much labor to make because our manufacturing sector is so productive

Uh Huh and Walmart asked companies to move off shore to obtain that everyday low price. Look up The man who said no to Walmart. It's an article about Snapper Mowers IIRC and Walmart wanting a contract and off shore production.
