The little girl isn’t strong enough to have dragged the bodies out to burn them and unlikely to have had the understanding of contagion that appears to have been the motivation for both the killing and the burning of the bodies. It was Carol.

The little girl had already witnessed the death of her father and so it was the little girl who did the only thing she knew, the killing of the two people, and once discoverd by Carol, she dragged the bodies outside the cell block and set them on fire........

Then Carol covered for the little girl........

And.....I wonder if the reason the bodies had to be burned was to disguise the fact that Lizzie had been doing some “experiments” with her knife.

That’s very possible. The Carol of the TV series is a much better and stronger character than the comic Carol.
