I’ve been seeing those ads promising no taxes for 10 years if you open a “new” businesses in NY . Makes me wonder, if I owned a donut shop in Utica, and somebody opens a new shop next door, get to skip taxes that I have to pay? How can I compete with that? And if I go out of business, how is anybody helped other that the new business owner?

Tax cuts should be across the board, not special breaks for the favored few.

Made the same argument about NY tax breaks just yesterday. But you have to wonder. Are there really no taxes? Or are they just deferred?
