I can read cursive back to the mid 1600s. English and Latin only. I can't make out a bit of French until the mid 1800s. Most of my original reading goes back only to the early 1800s, though.

My cursive writing.... I can do calligraphy because that is art, but dashing off a quick note looks like chickens stepped in ink and fornicated on paper.
