All extensions on Windows must be installed from the Chrome Web Store; those that were not will be permanently disabled. Google today upgraded Chrome to version 33, fulfilling its promise to block more add-ons in the Windows browser and quashing 28 bugs.

Me too. Have used it from version 3. AM using it right now.
Also use the email client. Takes a bit of getting used to, but I like it.
Links 2 is old fashioned and includes images.
We’ve both been using it a long time. Been using it since mid 90’s. It was a paid browser back then and fit on a 1.44 floppy.
dabbled with others but always came back
bump
Still looks a bit strange probably. I am probably too spoiled with black text on white background. lol
Thunderbird works for me; haven’t looked at Opera Mail. Prior to Opera, I was Netscape Navigator from v2 - v9, and still think that was one of the best browsers, ever. Some releases were a tad buggy, but when stabilized, they were head and shoulders over MS or anything else. Still have all NN browser version apps archived, just for grins.
What version are you using right now? I just found out that they have now abandoned the rendering engine of the older versions and have tagged into the Chrome engine for versions 15 and up; they are up to 18/19 now. (I am using 12.16: wasn’t aware that they had essentially frozen at that version. I wasn’t aware that they had forked...)
They have also taken out the M2 email client and have it as a separate application... Not liking any of this, and may have to stick with the older version, at least until I can figure out what to do...
using 12.15.7 and 11.6.- i was never fond of 12
I’m okay with the 12 versions, for the most part. I have not read anything good on the 15+ versions. Sounds like they removed some functionality that made Opera stand out, and are making it just another nondescript browser, that fits into the “Win 8 app” mold... If I wanted that, I would have used IE, Chrome or Firefox in the first place.
