The militarization of US police forces is ongoing and escalating. Many cities and towns now own tanks, armed personnel carriers, even attack helicopters, and almost all are outfitted with military weapons not available to the general public.
And, it is not just your hometown cops who are getting new boy-toys. The military itself is buying up weaponry not just for use in the current or next scheduled war, but to deal with the likes of you...
Also ignored (as if it didn’t even exist) is the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 which generally bars the military from law enforcement activities within the United States.
According to Public Intelligence:

I disagree.
One, I think (pray) that the troops aren’t going to start firing on us civilians. There will be some hopelessly brainwashed Obamatons who will be happy too but they don’t need to come from the Marine Corps. There are an endless supply of EBT warriors who will happily organize from the democrat cities.
Two, he ignores state national guard units that have citizen soldiers out of posts in their home towns. Are they going to round up mom and dad?
Three, we have more guns than the military. We have more snipers than the military. Sure, they have more ‘toys’ but this is a big country. We aren’t at a point where we will be a collection of rabble like Afghanis but if we are pushed enough watch out.
Four, food and supplies. The military could never occupy the entire country. Who will sell the US military food supplies if Obama turns them against us? Sure, war is good for business but will Remington, Sopako, Colt, Sikorsky all continue to sell them military equipment and supplies if citizens are now targets? Will local farmers still drive the combines for ADM. Will they institute slavery to run the equipment? Will local police forces be supported, funded, and not sabotaged by the cities they are expected to occupy? It’s great my local cops have an APC, but what good is it if they can’t get diesel fuel?
I have ZERO doubt in my mind Obama would love to have the power of Castro backed up by the same barbarity of every other tyrant in the past 100 years. No doubt at all. The progressives are sure trying. Incrimentalism is the way it will be achieved. But look at democrat cities. Heavily armed police forces can’t even stop gang bangers from shooting eachother. Maximum security prisons can’t be controlled even though they are “gun free zones.”

With a population of 9 million in 1861 the provisional Army of the confederacy (P.A.C.S) had a million men in it, bigger than the USA Army is today. Now granted the weaponry is way better now but you can only be in one place at a time, no matter how good your weapons are.
Why do you question where most of Military will Stand? Our Military is not Stupid! They just let zer0 be down and dirty from one to another extreme. Our Military don’t have time to waste. Double Vision?

Does anyone realize how many troops it would take to enforce martial law on the ENTIRE USA? It took the Wehrmacht 400,000 troops to occupy Yugoslavia in WWII. Yugoslavia is not that big. That is a lot of troops, it was one of the reasons why Hitler never made it to Moscow, subduing Greece and Yugoslavia took to much away from the eastern front initial punch. Seems nobody knows history anymore.
