I see it in the 8 and 9 year old boys who play on the basketball team I coach. The town league makes us stop putting points on the scoreboard when our team is winning by 15 points. They don't want to hurt the other teams feelings. I have a few tough kids on my team but most of them will start crying if I raise my voice a little bit. It's nothing like when I played 36 years ago. My coaches use to physically rough us up and scream at us. They would be in jail if they tried that today.
