I picked mine up about 6 years ago for $175. At that price, it was a fairly painless purchase.
I took it out to the range and a let a rifle snob shoot it, he didn’t like it because it wasn’t very accurate. Which is fine, you’re not trying to take rabbits at 50 yards with the thing.
A lot of gun snobs like to dismiss High Points. However, they do exactly what they are supposed to do, provide dependable service to people on a budget.
High Point would increase their sales astronomically if they would add higher capacity magazines and do some small cosmetic changes to their firearms. They are ugly. If they added a folding stock to their carbines — that would be another win. I guess they figure if aint broke don’t fix it.
