Listening to domestic-extremist/right-wing-AM-radio, heard a news report about 2 guards being found dead on the Maersk Alabama in Seychelles. The report identified the guards as 'former Navy SEALs'. Tragic.
If it's posted anywhere, I can't find it and it's not indexed in search engines yet.
I can't say with certainty whether it was Bloomberg news or Fox News, as this station mixes it up and I didn't catch that.
Update: From the radio station:
FOX News (feed) sez:
Two former Navy SEALs working as security contractors aboard the Maersk Alabama were found dead Tuesday aboard the container ship, a day after it was docked near an island northeast of Madagascar, according to the Trident Group, the security firm that employed the men.
The company said families of the two contractors have been notified and requested that their names not be released.
A spokesman from the shipping line only confirmed that two people had been found dead, citing the ongoing investigation.
The Maersk Alabama was featured in the movie 'Captain Phillips,' which was based on a pirate hijacking off the coast of Somalia in 2009. It had been docked in Victoria, Seychelles, which is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean.
I’m too much of a paranoid, conspiracy theorist to attempt a reply, but I’ll be paying attention to this thread.
Fox News (Martha McCallum) reporting this right now.
Bookmark! Prayers Said.
Wasn’t there a few minutes ago. Was browsing tweets when I found the story.
Interesting. Thanks for posting.
For those who haven’t seen it, the movie ‘Captain Phillips’ is worth watching.
You consider Fox/Bloomberg to be "extremist/right-wing"???
Crew responding to the movie said the captain was a jerk. The movie was not true, fantasy yes.
Theory ... Killers were in a container? Loaded to ship with supplies and escape means?
“LONE SURVIVOR” would be a better choice.
Nothing on Lloyds news yet.
Just speculating, but I’d guess this was a long-planned revenge hit for the first Maersk Alabama episode.
Captns are not paid to be friendly.
That may be true, and thanks for mentioning it as I’ll look into this, but underlings usually see anyone in charge as jerks. I’ve not known many people that praise management.
Those ships are fairly easy to board. They probably just drove a boat up and snuck on. Might have had inside help.
whooooo DID it .... whoooooo DID it !!!!
Thanks. I’m waiting for the rental to come out. (I hate going to movie theaters with all the attendant hassels.)
I too am thinking inside help.
Fox picked it up later 30 minutes later via Twitter. The first broadcast was apparently what I heard via their breaking news feed into the radio station and the web 'blurb' showed up seconds prior to my posting it above.
I think he was joking. That's what the Left thinks of it.
