There have been several movies made about the Miracle on Ice, but my favorite one was with Kurt Russell starring as Coach Herb Brooks. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. If you want to experience a bit of what we felt, I recommend you rent it.
In 1980, the Soviets were beating the Americans at just about everything. It was nice to see our side win for once.

I was 13. Can’t say I remember a lot of detail but I remember the elation and the “vibe.” Won’t be repeated in my lifetime, I’m sure.

Dont feel bad...only those in the arena that night (about 8,000) saw the game live....it was shown on ABC (who had rights to those games) a few hours later on tape. No one saw it televised live. We all saw a tape of game
