Friends of ours who had four boys adopted two identical twin two-year-old girls from Japan. All our boys were in junior high then and nicknamed the girls Ping and Pong. Even after close to 40 years the girls still go by those names.
Nicknames are sweet I will always be known as Shay to the ‘kids’. The oldest one is 40. Lol. Not a one of my 12-13 ‘nieces and nephews’ could say Sherri so they all called me Aunt Shay. I am still Shay. ;)
