Do you ever have discussions with tech workers in San Francisco after you have found they are homosexual? And in settings outside of the gay pride parades? And if so, do any of them, politically and socially, care about anything other than same sex marriage and adoption or not really?
I go there to attend technical conferences, so there are many other non-Bay area attendees as well, and to be honest, we don't discuss much of anything besides tech.
I will say that in general, tech workers tend to be young, and thus fall into Winston Churchill's characterization of politically foolish.
