No, she was not a lefty at all. She was more like the original libertarian.
Here’s another story about her, and bear in mind that once her children were older she would go to Mass every morning.
Grandma once took me aside (she often did this out of the blue) and said “Jocon, there are 2 groups of people you should try and avoid as much as possible, and the reason is the same for both groups. They are Priests and the Police, and the reason is they are never around when you need them, but if you don’t want them there, for sure they are breathing down your neck.”
