Does anybody remember that Santoro's Sub Shop that was located on Route 1 in Saugus, MA - across from the big plastic dinosaur?

Anyway, I used to go there occasionally and because I hated condiments (and still do), I would order the large Italian sub with just meats and cheese. The person there would always look at me incredulously and say "meat and cheese only? Totally dry? No oil"?

And I would invariably say "Yes, meat and cheese only, totally dry, no oil." And they would go ahead and make my sub, shaking their heads.

That was a lot of years ago.
