Sorry to take this thread a little track but one thing I’ve never seen mentioned in the ethanol debate is it’s effects on snow machines and vehicles in cold weather climates. Anybody have first hand knowledge on this?
Not a whole lot if any ethanol in Alaska gas, I own 12 motorcycles, a bunch of cars and trucks and a snowmachine and have had no issues with our Alaska gas, ethanol gas absolutely hates to be stored long time. Around 92/93 they tried oxygenated gas in Anchorage and hundreds of cars had to head to the repair shops, ethanol and arctic conditions do not mix, I believe some wiser people figured out that all in all ethanol in Alaska gas would wind up killing people so I think we have been spared for the most part.
