I’ve often wondered if it would be possible to live by renting a storage unit. I don’t know how you would manage the sneaking in and out, and avoiding having a light show. You’d have to haul water in and out somehow. But at least it wouldn’t be freezing—you wouldn’t die of cold.

I’ve heard of men who did live in them. Just having stored stuff in there, I’d have a hard time with the heat and air.

Yes, it’s do-able. Pay for a climate-controlled unit with 24-hour access. Go out and about during the day (mall). Return to the unit after-hours. Wash in the bathroom sink. Run an extension cord for your TV and X-Box. Sleep, then get out before the office opens in the morning. Happens regularly at my company. As long as the unit gets paid for and the “tenant” doesn’t “reside” there during business hours, can’t do much about it unless you stay after hours to catch them.
