we can do that, we have that right.

my comments stand. has nothing to do with peta. there’s no pressing need to euthanize the giraffe. this whole disposable everything mentality, get rid of it if i get bored with it or don’t want to care for it anymore crap just gets old.

The giraffe was food for the lions. Other animals have to die to ensure those lions eat a healthy diet. There is no real ethical difference between using a cow for food and using a giraffe. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion that a giraffe in a zoo is a higher form of life than a sheep or a cow that has grown up on a farm, but my own humble opinion is that there is no rational basis behind it, only an emotional one based on the kind of ridiculous anthropomorphising of animals that PETA engages in, but at least you can say of PETA that they view ALL animals this way, so they are at least consistent in their beliefs...
