A teenager bullied for his resemblance to Harry Potter has been jailed after stabbing one girl in the face and smashing anothers head against a fence after they compared him to the boy wizard.
Ryan Walker, 19, snapped after two girls called him Harry Potter as he walked back to his family flat in Southampton, a court has heard.
The girls, 15-year-old Emma Keeble and 16-year-old Leah Pearce, were sitting outside the flat and touched Walkers shopping bag as he walked past before verbally abusing him and telling him he looked like the fictional character.

I don’t see the resemblance.
If you go around pissing people off, eventually you will find someone who has no self control. Stupid game. All three of them should report for sterilization.
Missed opportunity for the kid. Instead of fighting the girls, he should have agreed that he was Harry Potter, and offered to show them his “magic wand”.
Shudda just turned ‘em into newts.
That’d show ‘em.
(and it’s probably not agin the law)
I don’t see any resemblance.
Odd how he got six year in jail but the gang of schoolboys who sent a “ginger” haired guy minding his own business to the hospital with a broken jaw got slaps on the wrists.
Their world is over-sexulaized and “trampy” is the norm.
Harsh assessment? Yes, but based upon my many decades of traveling to the UK (and living there).
I have seen the UK culture descend quickly and females are leading the decent because men are marginalized, temporary and to be used.
These “lower class” women are loud, rude, entitled, physically and emotionally mean in their bullying and normal day-to-day activities.
People mock the US for our Jerry Springer type of life but the UK average female tracks Jerry Springer with being pregnant at 15-17 and married and divorced by age 21-22.
Anecdotal? Perhaps, but accurately reflects what I have personally observed, and to me I think the decent really took a dive many years ago when the UK culture no longer recognized “husband” and “wife.” Husband and wife are now replaced with ‘partner.”
Partner means just that, a ‘partner’ a temporary arrangement that a couple enters and leaves with no thought to the spiritual commitment. No one is expected to have live-long commitments, as a partnership can be dissolved easily and therefore marriage really doesn't mean anything more than a temporary arrangement. And children of those “partnerships” are growing up with no sense of true commitment or respect for relationships, people or norms or even basic decency. . .they are growing up feral.
As much as I luv the UK, and I do, I just have to wonder whatever happened to the “Great” in “Great Britain.”
When I calm down I will let you really know what I think. . .
;-)
Sometimes teenagers will use teasing or pestering behavior because they haven’t yet learned how to flirt. This young man is socially regressed and needs help.
Lesser Britain
16 is also the age of consent in England.
This guy should have his nuts kicked in. Then just maybe he can grow up a little.
which is also sad.
No such thing as “snapped.” It’s a term invented by corrupt defense lawyers to get their clients set free.

The girls may think twice about taunting in the future.
(for the two youtube junkies who will get it)
Or.....
Girls; “You look like Harry Potter!”
19 year-old dude: “Wanna see my wand?”
A teenager bullied for his resemblance to Harry Potter
That is now considered bullying? Oh my God! We are raising a bunch of whiny, candy ass, sissies!
Probably true in many cases, but someone having a psychotic break could certainly be described as having “snapped”, and that is a real phenomenon.
“Great” back then was a measure of size, rather like “Greater London” with reference to the original London city and the boroughs that were annexed to the city.
Yes, this is now “bullying”.
