But if one wants to consider what it is that impels men to evil in the name of something good such as, the quality, orthodoxy, science, communism, nationalism,-the list is endless-one must consider the allegory of what transpired in the Garden of Eden.
If we eliminated Putin and his dark intelligence-run state, we would be confronted with the same impulse manifested in a different form on a different front.
The impulse is not peculiar to communism, fascism, or any other "-ism," it is inherent in mankind. It is nearly a unique historical occurrence that fate joined together men who resisted their own natural impulses toward power and who fashioned a constitutional system of government which took this impulse into account and made brilliant provisions to neutralize it by setting one group acting under the will toward power in place to check the next group grasping for power.
I am all in favor of exposing the left for its communist roots. I have intruded on a lot of bandwidth on these threads exploring the tragic consequences of our American elites and academics flirting with The Frankfurt School. The same impulse, now called Progressivism with its tireless undermining of our system of checks and balances, has been popularized by the likes of Saul Alinsky. The means and methods vary, but the impulse never does.
Bingo.
You are are wise man, nathanbedford.
