If anybody is interested, the latest issue of Hot Rod magazine has many interesting stories for the 50th anniversary of the 426 Hemi that debuted at Daytona in 64. Including an interview with the 88 yr old guy who was head of the engineering team also a feature on Petty’s winning car.

Accusations of cheating follow speed on sliding track

When man, machine and speed are involved, cheating — or bending the rules into the gray area — is nearby. There might not be a better example than NASCAR's history of rule-bending or flat-out cheating.
