The pillow shortage became public when Russian citizens were told by government officials they would take people's pillows and give them to athletes and international media staying at the Olympic village. All your pillow are belong to us, comrade!

Oh for crying out loud! Wimps! Just fold a towel or sweatshirt or something and use as a pillow.

There reason there are no pillows is that Obama is biting them all.

Can’t they roll up their towels to make a pillow?
Fold clothes into a nice rectangular shape and use that as a pillow.
Why didn’t they bring their own pillows?
God only knows who previously drooled on a previously used pillow.

How comforting that must be to the athletes to know their pillows were previously used by the locals.

This is creepy. Witness communism.
"The pillow shortage became public when Russian citizens were told by government officials they would take people's pillows and give them to athletes"
How many of us would let the government take our pillows?

Yeah, 'zackly. There are some things you just don't buy used, and you don't donate to Goodwill when you're finished with them. (Fun Fact: While Governor, Clinton and his wife donated underwear to charity, and took a buck or so write-off per pair.)

“The pillow shortage became public when Russian citizens were told by government officials they would take people’s pillows and give them to athletes and international media staying at the Olympic village.”
The US and even international media is doing all they can to make Russia and especially Putin look bad during the Olympics, by even going as far as to announce to the world that Putin wanted to take people’s pillows away.

I bet the Brazil games are going to be even more of a cluster than Sochi.
But Brazil isn’t a white country, and it is “Gay Friendly”, so they will get a pass.

I did not take all the news of poor situation of Sochi from the media attending so much as complaining from overly preened media types but more a indication of where interior Russia is these days.
They have had nearly a decade and $50 billion bucks to get ready and they just couldn’t quite pull it off. That’s pathetic. Russia is the Mexico of Europe....with nukes.
