This sounds like a terrible accident, that’s all. I’ve known several women who had repeated accidents backing up in a Suburban because they just could not get used to the limited visibility, sitting so high in such a large vehicle. They all hated driving them, but their husbands wanted them for hauling a boat.
I had to go back and re-read the posts on this thread. I am still saddened at how easily some people will gladly lock up anyone for what is an unfortunate accident. Yes, the outcome was tragic. But that doesn’t mean you have to put someone in jail or subject them to criminal charges.
And there is a lot of ignorance of the law out there, too.
